1. What is this site about?

Well, the www.positive-pics.com is site for sharing all kinds of positive, calm, relaxing photos for personal (non-commercial) use. The main goal is to build positive community of photo-amateurs, and to enable them to interact socially.

 

2. For what purposes photos from positive-pics.com can be used?

For any personal, non-commercial purpose. Low resolution of uploaded and processed photos (640x480 px) makes them useless for any real professional purpose. You can use this pics for sharing by e-mail, to make amateur presentations, to publish on social services as Facebook or other, to include them on forums, blogs and personal websites.

 

3. What are all the possibilities of this site?

Photo upload/download, building personal photo gallery, building favorites lists of other user's photographs, download all favorites in a zip file, personal messaging, making friends through the positive-pics friends system, voting for photos that you like, commenting on photos, easy submitting of claims for stolen photos published on this site...

 

4. What kind of photos should I upload?

First of all - your own photos, photos that you made with your own camera. Second - all kinds of positive, relaxing, calm, beautiful, non-agressive photos.

Second photo maybe is crazy and interesting to look at, but it isn't something that we want to build here.

 

 

5. What is max. size of photos that I can upload?

Any size, images will be processed, resized to 640x480 px. Imortant is only that your original photo isn't bigger than 3 Mb.

 

6. What is happening to original big-size photo?

It is deleted automatically after the resizing.

 

7. Why my photo isn't published?

There is only one possible reason: not positive enough (or: it is disturbing, annoying, agressive or something like that). We will NOT notify users about reasons of their photos not beeing published. But, when you understand the spirit of this site, not-publishing of your pics shouldn't be very often situation. :)

 

8. Who can download the photos?

Everybody. Even unregistered visitors. By registering on this site you agreed to these terms.

 

9. Can I somehow remove the www.positive-pics.com sign from the downloaded photos?

Unfortunatelly - no. We are using that "watermark" signs for popularisation purposes. We will consider removing it after we suceed certain results in number of registered users and uploaded photos. Until then, you can always use some photo-editing software to cut the portions of photos to have them without signs. Of course - only if you plan to use a photo for personal needs.

 

10. Can I disable or edit e-mail notifications about private messages from the www.positive-pics.com site?

Yes. In your inbox, on the very bottom of it there is a link named "settings". There you can set all the parameters concerning PM notifications.

 

11. What is the purpose of "friends" system on this site?

Only easier access to your friends through your profile's "Friends" tab, or composing a new message (if you have any friends, a new field for choosing a friend as a recipient is displayed there). There are no greater access rights to your profile for a friends, comparing to the users that aren't on your friends list.

 

12. Somebody has my photo stolen and published on this site. How can I remove that photo from this site? Will you ban this user, disable his/her account?

There is a link named "Photo Removal Claim" on the bottom of a site. In a few quick steps you can report such theft. Once we will warn user not to do that in the future, but with the second received report of that kind for the same user - he/she will be banned.

 

13. Somebody has my photo published here stolen and published elsewhere on the Internet for commercial purpose. Can you do something about it?

No, we can not. By accepting Terms and Conditions in your registration procedure, you had that accepted. You can only try to take legal steps on your own.

 

14. Why can't I access my account?

Maybe you have been banned, or it is because of some technical issue. You can contact as through the support e-mail form.
